TREVOR MURPHY

Quiet Parade tour Eastern Canada in support of new album,

Please Come Home (We Hate It Here Without You)

Friday April 22nd 7:30 pm Th'YARC Playhouse and Arts Center (Lobby)*

Tickets at the Door: $5

Or  $15 with purchase of CD.

Halifax's Quiet Parade take their bleeding heart pop songs on the road this April in support of their new album, Please Come Home (We Hate It Here Without You). Dates are as follows:

Also a member of the East Coast rock n roll powerhouse Sleepless Nights,

Trevor Murphy takes a step back into a more reserved atmosphere with his solo

project Quiet Parade. Quiet Parade's songs are brutally honest, wholly endearing, and delightfully simple.

Mixing elements of pop-rock songwriting with unabashed lyrics, the music channels bands such as Low, Hayden and Sun Kil Moon while maintaining influences from artists/producers such as Elliot Smith and Phil Spector alike.

Recorded in a cabin on a lake in Yarmouth County over five days last summer with producer Daniel Ledwell (In-Flight Safety, Jenn Grant, Share), Quiet Parade's new album, Please Come Home (We Hate It Here Without You) - available April 19 on Acadian Embassy - is the most stripped down and heartfelt effort from Murphy to date.

From the subtle timbres of the haunting "Buying Time (A Hymn)" to the alt-country affection of the "I Will Try," to the start-quiet/end-loud movements on tracks such as "Bury My Bones" and the single "End Of Days," the album encompasses candid glimpses of searching for meaning, settling down, and longing for those who have left (or are about to leave) your life.

.:PRAISE FOR QUIET PARADE:.

"Murphy has a great talent for writing sad songs in a way that is relentlessly relatable and true

The truly amazing thing was how the sad songs always had playfulness and a sense of hope to them." - Noisography

"Many songwriters could benefit from a little of Murphy’s brevity. He is incredibly successful

introducing sketches instead of fully crafted stories. By keeping the songs spontaneous,

honest and constantly evolving, even his longest efforts don't fall victim to the over-indulgences that plagues most solo artists." - Herohill

"Quiet Parade, the latest group to emerge from the Halifax indie-pop pool, are well

versed in pop music niceties and bleeding heart lyrics." - SoundProof Magazine

TOM DICK AND HARRY

April 28,29,30, May 5,6,7,   7:30 pm

Directed by Sandy Fevens

In this hilarious story of three brothers, Tom and his wife are about to adopt a baby.

His brothers are anxious to help make a good impression on the woman

from the agency who has arrived to check on the home

and lifestyle of the prospective parents. Unfortunately Dick, who has

stashed boxes of smuggled brandy and cigarettes in the house,

and Harry, who is in possession of a cadaver he is planning to sell

illegally to a medical school, fail miserably. The adoption agency

representative is aghast - and the illegal Croatian aliens who do

not speak English are no help at all!

Featuring:

Tony Dorrian as Tom; Neil Hackett as Dick, David Sarginson as Harry;

With Ginnie Gobien, David Doucette, Brenda O’Connell and Shari Surette

TOM, DICK AND HARRY, written by Ray Cooney Senior and his son Michael

shows that . . . the veteran funster's ingenuity for creating chaos

and carnage is funnier than ever.

No wonder Cooney's farces attract packed audiences.

Lovers of old-fashioned farce know they are going to have a good time.
