2012 Exhibits
January
DAVID GORMAN
Local artist David Gorman will have a series of new paintings on display at Th'YARC
from January 6 - 31st.
The works are all new and are scenes captured from offshore while working aboard
various vessels during the past two years as well as time spent on shore leave.
Depictions include, Greenland, Scotland, Norway, Iceland, and the
Deep horizon oil rig explosion. There will also be paintings of industrial and
non industrial equipment found onboard the vessels.

About the artisit...
David was born and raised in the town of Yarmouth. He was trained in the arts
by Ethel and Gertrude Garson who studied at the New York Art Academy.
David paints in an abstract and semi abstract style generally utilizing heavy
textural elements and vibrant colours
