THANE DUNN AND THE CADILLAC KINGS

Elvis Tribute

May 12, 7 pm

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Thane Dunn has caused quite a stir among fans of the Late "King of Rock and Roll",

Elvis Presley. He's been called the "full Elvis package", from his natural resemblance to

his amazingly Elvis-like voice, he has the moves down pat but what really makes his show

special is his charismatic personality and his Presley-like sense of humour.

He has the ability to make audiences feel as if they are watching the real thing live.

If you never got a chance to see Elvis in concert this is as close as you'll get.

He has been able to work with Elvis Presley Enterprises in Memphis along with

actual people who performed with Elvis in concert such as the Imperials who

were with Elvis from 69-71. He has also performed with Elvis movie co-stars like

Darlene Thompkins from Blue Hawaii to Cynthia Pepper from the movie Kissin Cousins.

One of his proudest accomplishments was getting the thumbs up from Ronnie Tutt

who played drums for Elvis on tour all through the seventies.

He has filled casinos and theatres across North America.

All of Thane's costumes are exact replicas. From the jumpsuits made famous by

Presley in the early seventies, Thane's collection includes most of these suits

featured in the movie "Elvis On Tour" and of course the infamous

"Aloha from Hawaii American Eagle" suit. Thane also wears the black leather

suit worn by Elvis in the '68 Comeback special which is an identical replica of the original.

All of his stage jewellery and boots are the same as Elvis wore in 1972.

There are no wigs or glued-on sideburns, it's all real and even the scarves that are

passed to the ladies are the same. No expense has been spared to give you the full "Elvis Experience".

Thane is backed by the eight piece Cadillac Kings. They have the Elvis TCB band's

sound down pat and combined with Thane's voice you would swear it was the real thing.

They are a hard-working band and you'll hear every little note that Presley's band played onstage.

There is even a man who gives Thane his water, catches the guitar, passes Thane teddy bears

and puts scarves around his neck for the ladies; he stays very busy during the show.

This is a show for the whole family and if you only ever see one Tribute to Elvis make sure its this one.

You will believe Elvis never left the building!

All seats: $34

THE HUPMAN BROTHERS BAND

May 14th   7:30 pm

The Hupman Brothers are an important Nova Scotia band to watch.

Their original sound is played with superb musicianship and as brothers they play as if one.

Kim O’Brien of the East Coast Blues Society says,

“The first thing you notice about the Hupman Brothers is how much

they love what they’re doing. Especially the front man and

the bass player. These are, respectively, Ryan and Scott Hupman,

the brothers in the eponymous band. Their enthusiasm seems to

infect the audience and their bandmates, Caleb Miles on guitar,

Bob Federer on keys, Mike Carroll on drums, and Ian Sherwood and Ariana Nasr on sax

The second thing you notice is that their music, while steeped

in the golden age of Blues, does not strictly adhere to the

standard Blues formula. You’ll rarely hear a strictly- followed

12-bar Blues song. The Hupman’s songs and arrangements are fresh,

but with a hint of the swing/ragtime Blues guitar style of the

30s and 40s with their own con- temporary sensibilities woven in.

Their win of a 2010 ECMA for Best Blues Album, and a

Maple Blues Award Nomination puts the Hupmans at the forefront

of a new wave of Blues artists on the East Coast.

There is a lot of energy in the music of these new troubadours and

nowhere is this more evident than with the Hupmans.”

In the past 4 years, the Hupman Brothers have released four albums,

and received multiple award nominations through Music Nova Scotia,

The East Coast Music Association, and Maple Blues.

Winner of the 2010 ECMA for Blues Recording of the Year, and

nominated for Music Nova Scotia Blues Album/Group Recording of the Year,

their album "Countin' Quarters"  was released in Wolfville, NS on May 30, 2009

Their new album “Loveseat Volume 1”, released November 2010,

was recorded live off the floor at The Welding Shed in Port Williams, NS.

Loveseat Volume II is scheduled for release in 2011, and will be purely acoustic.

TOM DICK AND HARRY

April 28,29,30, May 5,6,7,   7:30 pm

Directed by Sandy Fevens

In this hilarious story of three brothers, Tom and his wife are about to adopt a baby.

His brothers are anxious to help make a good impression on the woman

from the agency who has arrived to check on the home

and lifestyle of the prospective parents. Unfortunately Dick, who has

stashed boxes of smuggled brandy and cigarettes in the house,

and Harry, who is in possession of a cadaver he is planning to sell

illegally to a medical school, fail miserably. The adoption agency

representative is aghast - and the illegal Croatian aliens who do

not speak English are no help at all!

Featuring:

Tony Dorrian as Tom; Neil Hackett as Dick, David Sarginson as Harry;

With Ginnie Gobien, David Doucette, Brenda O’Connell and Shari Surette

TOM, DICK AND HARRY, written by Ray Cooney Senior and his son Michael

shows that . . . the veteran funster's ingenuity for creating chaos

and carnage is funnier than ever.

No wonder Cooney's farces attract packed audiences.

Lovers of old-fashioned farce know they are going to have a good time.
