 Don¹t give up hope!
Despite recent setbacks, the Yarmouth Arts Regional Council has not given up
hope for the construction of a new Arts Centre at 76 Parade Street and will
continue to do everything possible to convince Yarmouth Town Council to
change their course and not throw away the chance to see a multi-million

A State-of-the-Art, Multi-disciplinary Arts
Centre

As the result of a Feasibility Study conducted in 2005, the Yarmouth Arts Regional Council announced in
March 2006 that plans were to commence for the construction of a new Arts
Centre to serve the region. Although Th'YARC has served the community well as it celebrates its 30th year of operation, the time has come for replacement in the form of a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary facility.
The plans for the new facility include the following features:
For Performing Arts
- Modern theatre with 450-500 seats
- Studio theatre with capacity for 150 seats (suitable for concerts /
films / one-act presentations / cabaret / etc.)
- Dance Studio / Rehearsal Hall / Multi-purpose meeting room
- Full kitchen
- Multiple, large dressing rooms and Green room
- Large Set Shop and Set Storage
- Full Costume Studio & Storage
- Rehearsal rooms (sound proof)
For Visual Arts
- Art Gallery with: Flexible mounting system for wall-hung exhibits, display
lighting, wall-recessed display cabinets, proper climate control and more
- Art Studio / Craft Studio / Print Shop / Multi-Purpose visual arts space

Municipality of Argyle endorses New YARC plans, commits funding
Just two weeks after receiving unanimous support and funding from the
Municipality of Yarmouth the Yarmouth Arts Regional Council received another
vote of confidence on Wednesday as they learned that the Municipality of
Argyle voted unanimously to support the New YARC Planning Committee¹s
request for Phase I funding of a new Arts Centre at 76 Parade Street.

when the Municipality of Yarmouth voted unanimously to support the New YARC
Planning Committee¹s request for Phase I funding of a new Arts Centre at 76

Plans to Construct a new Arts Centre will move forward
The New YARC Planning Committee, on behalf of the Yarmouth Arts Regional
Council, formally announced today that the planned new Arts Centre will be
constructed on its current
Parade Street location. With this decision the Planning Committee will
dedicate all efforts to the implementation
