Due to scheduling conflicts,

JUNIOR IDOL is postponed until further notice.

JUNIOR IDOL

First prize $300

Ages 6 - 16

September 11, 12, 13, 7:30 pm

A total of 24 contestants will be chosen from the scheduled auditions to participate
in the three day competition which will be held September 11th, 12th, and 13th .

Through a process of elimination on September 11th and 12th, the assigned
judges will narrow the 24 contestants to 8,  and on the final night of
performance September 13th, first, second, and third place finalists will be
chosen by audience votes.

September 4, 5, 6:30pm

September 6, 1pm

Auditions forms are available at Th'YARC Box Office.

All participants are encouraged to sign up prior to the auditions, as

parental signature is required on audition forms.

Participants may use musical accompaniment for audition as well as for
performance and are responsible to supply their own.

There is NO registration fee.

Be ready for that next audition!
Come join us on Th'YARC stage for some very enjoyable and informative sessions with Linda Coakley. Learn to create a convincing character so when projected to the audience, that character becomes alive and believable! And have fun doing it! We'll explore and expand the actor's tools-movement and voice in two separate workshops over two engaging weekends.
Workshop #1: PLAYING COMIC SCENES
Workshop #2: PLAYING SERIOUS SCENES
OR be really challenged by signing on for both!

Two weekend days per workshop filled with TIPS, (like understanding why we laugh..) and STRATEGIES (like how you can learn those lines.) for developing your natural talents. Begin with grasping the all-important geography of the stage and continue to creating a character, improvisation and scene study. Sessions will conclude with a scene sharing for an audience.
